Peanut was born around 10/21/01- seven weeks old. Peanut is a dark wavy coated golden, with a very plump little shape right now. He weighs six pounds or so. He has a pretty calm disposition, and gentle. He looks like a perfect golden. Not available until after December 17. Right now Peanut is sleeping inside the left arm of my shirt, he likes to cuddle.

Peanut is a sweet little guy, and he has a sweet, gentle side to his personality. He plays with the big guys, but can also find things to do on his own. He is eager to explore the snow covered yard and loves to find a new twig or grass frond to nibble. He is only six pounds right now, but look out world, he is gonna be a big guy someday. He loves to be cuddled, and sometimes will run to me and stand on my foot, asking to be held. He also likes to watch what is going on, he will sit patiently, looking like he is studying the world around him. Then he charges in.
Peanut is still a little pudgy ball of fluff. He is a deep reddish gold, with really wavy hair. He has been getting stronger all week long, and now he has learned to climb stairs. He is working on learning to go down them too, but just hasn't gotten the hang of it yet. It is a little intimidating since they are taller than he is! He is more vocal by nature than Pumpkin, and he is hesitant about new noises and shapes. He is very loving, and can cuddle, but would prefer to be off exploring the world. He really likes to follow his nose wherever it goes...outside or inside, he is forever looking at the world around him. He is pretty social though, and has gotten in his share of playtime this week with my guys and the new puppy from down the street.
Peanut went for his second vet visit today, and boy did they love him up! They couldn't believe he is only eight weeks old, since he is already 11pounds! Peanut rode along with me in his little harness, and after we started, he began to sing to me....so I sang back, and I guess he didn't like me singing, so he sang louder...and then he noticed the treat in the cup holder, and was very calm the rest of the way there. They all thought he was cute as a button in the office, and he had his first shot, and microchip. He did great for the shot, but even I would cry if I were micro-chipped with that big needle. As always, he was right back to his old self when he got some treats, and continued to steal everyone's heart away with his gentle nature and handsome golden curls. He was very good on the ride home, no singing, but he did want to come over and curl up in my lap. We cuddled after we got home, and everyone was overjoyed to have him back in the pack.
Although we will miss him very much, Peanut is now ready to find his forever home.
Peanut continues to be an adventuresome pup, with a lot of forays into new territory often on his agenda. He has been very busy all week long growing rounder and cuter....is that possible??? He has a very red coat, and it is very wavy. He is about ten pounds right now, maybe more. He is really enjoying the other dogs, and loves to play with tennis balls. He is not quite as sure about things as Pumpkin, and will need a home that will continue to ensure that he is well socialized in the next couple of months. He is looking forward to his vet visit on Monday (they give good treats and love him up a lot) and will have his first shots. We will also try to stop at PetSmart to get him used to even more people. He really likes the neighbor boy and his little puppy that come to visit every other day. Peanut will be able to look for his forever home next week, and we really hope to find that special family for him soon.

My husband and I adopted a golden through RAGOM on January 6th 2001. His name before we adopted him was Peanut and we changed it to Madison.
