Georgia #01-333

Georgia -- She's at 11 months, she's a Peach! Georgia has been with me for less than 24 hours, but what a sweetie! She reminds me very much of country mouse and city mouse -- She's definitely the country mouse and doesn't know much about living in the city. Who knew vinyl flooring could be so scary? And doors? What are they? (Don't even ask about the vacuum cleaner.) Georgia is feeling out of her element but is adapting well -- not even a potty accident yet. She was the first of the five older girls to give kisses and continues to do so. Georgia is a thin, very blonde girl with a very white face. We are working on plumping her up and will visit the vet sometime this week. More to come next week as Georgia learns all about the big scary city!

(Though no picture of Georgia is available yet, I can assure you that she is every bit as cute as her sisters - and is a sweetheart also.)

UPDATES:
11/10/2001:

Georgia is quickly adapting to life in the city! She's no longer afraid of vinyl flooring, goes in and out of the car quite well, and although she's not friends with the vacuum cleaner, she doesn't hide any more. She is a quick learner -- she knows her name and is almost potty trained. She likes to carry a tennis ball around and teases you with it, but hasn't learned if she gives it back, you will throw it again. Big day today -- we learned how to do a full flight of stairs! Georgia will need a family that can continue to teach how to live indoors. She doesn't like loud voices, so gentle correction and leadership will be needed to teach her how to be a great dog.

11/17/2001:

It is my pleasure to announce that Georgia went to her forever home today with the H. family of Plymouth.

We received a golden retriever from you back in 2001. You named her Georgia, we named her Jordan. She died unexpectedly on March 30th. The vet thought it was her heart.
