Sadie is a 2 year old female, who was given up by her owner. Sadie LOVES to play with the other dogs, has lived with cats, and LOVES people. She doesn't have any experience with young children, and so would need to be placed with older children. She's the type of golden that just loves everyone she meets. She knows sit, down, and come, but she pulls on a leash seriously. Her foster mom is working on this. Sadie is healthy, but is about 15 pounds overweight. Sadie is very well behaved, and enjoyed free roam of her home while her mom was away. She shows no signs of behavioral issues. Sadie is very playful, and somewhat energetic. She's a pretty girl, medium golden with a sweet face and a nice coat - and she'll be GORGEOUS when she loses that extra weight!
Hi all! Sadie is here! And what a wonderful little gal she is!! Sadie is a 2 year old female, who was given up by her owner who didn't feel Sadie was happy living in their new apartment and not having much time with 'mom'. Her owner works full-time and is a full-time student, and doesn't have enough time to give Sadie the time and care she deserves. After a very tearful goodbye, Sadie said goodbye to her old life, and is settling in here very well, and looking forward to a new and very golden life!
Sadie LOVES to play with the other dogs, has lived with cats (and is fine with mine), and LOVES people. She doesn't have any experience with young children, and so I'd prefer to place her in a family without young children at home, but I really think she's the type to LOVE everybody!! I took her to a meeting with me this morning, and she was Ms. Social! She knows sit, down, and come (haven't tried it outdoors without a leash of course!), but she pulls on a leash seriously (hence, we've chosen a purple Gentle Leader, which we'll introduce today!).
Sadie seems healthy (she has a vet appointment scheduled for Friday!), although she's about 15 to 20 pounds overweight. She hasn't had vaccinations since 1998, and so we'll be updating them for her. Sadie is very well behaved, and enjoyed free roam of her home while her mom was away. She has never shown any aggression (easy to believe - she's a VERY nice girl!!), and doesn't have any behavioral issues! Sadie is very playful, and somewhat energetic (certainly NOT obnoxious, but not boring either!!). What a great gal!! She's a pretty girl, medium golden with a sweet face and a nice coat - and she'll be GORGEOUS when she loses that extra weight!

Our beloved Sadie passed over the Rainbow Bridge last Friday, May 14th. She is so missed by my wife and me, and the cat, "Daisy".
