Rest in Peace

Goldie 99-299

Goldie is a 1 1/2 - 2 year old healthy female Golden Retriever/lab mix. She is 60 lbs., light golden with longer soft hair and a darling face. Goldie is housetrained and has good house manners. She loves to hang out, go for walks and take naps. Goldie walks very well on a gentle leader. She would be a great jogging partner! Goldie has so much love and affection to offer. Her new forever home should understand her need & be willing to help Goldie with obedience training to grow into the best dog she can be.

Our Lucy's main goal in life after being adopted was to make everyone happy and that is exactly what she did.  Lucy’s foster Mom told us when me all met that Lucy would need lots of attention, she was right.

Lucy was never really a true Retriever like other Golden's, she wasn't interested in balls or Frisbees, she really never liked to chew on raw hides either,  she only wanted to be with you no matter what your were doing.  Lucy loved to go to the park for a walks, sit next to you at a bonfire or on your lap while watching TV.   Even using the bathroom was a group event.  She helped her Grandpa recover from his stroke, going to the hospital and taking him for walks to help with his therapy.  Going with in the truck was something you never had to ask, she was always standing in the doorway ready to go, no matter where you were going.  Lucy wasn't one to bark to get your attention either, she would lean her head back and “WOO-WOO”, at you.  To hear that voice of hers would always bring a smile to your face.

Our Lucy lost her battle with cancer on Friday, August 29th, 2008.  Lucy was a brave girl and did her best to hang on as long as she could.  The decision to end her fight was the hardest thing that we have ever had to do.  We told Lucy that there was a wonderful place where she could go to and be healthy again. Our other girl, Ralpheena would be there to watch over her for us.  We told Lucy to watch for Mom and Dad and we would all be together again. Lucy gave us our last Golden Kisses as we pressed our faces to hers and said good-bye.  We know that God will take care of our girl.

We will always be Thankful to RAGOM for bringing Lucy into our lives. We have had 8-1/2 wonderful years of Golden Kisses and Loves. Even though this time is so very hard for us and our hearts hurt so badly, we have wonderful memories

Love you always and forever!

Mom and Dad
