Welcome Josie to the RAGOM family! She is a 6 year old beauty! Even at first glance, I could tell she's the MOST talented dog we've had! Even more talented than all our previous (12) fosters put together! She knows so many tricks! Some of them include: sit, shake, lay down, stay, roll over, spin, go around, curb, jump...and I'm probably forgetting some, there's so many! And she is VERY tennis ball oriented! That is when she shows off most of her tricks.

Josie is SUCH a sweetheart! She was surrendered to RAGOM due to some close calls with small kids. She has NEVER bitten anyone, but she was just too close for comfort. Therefore, she needs to go to a home with NO small children. Teenage or older would fine.

Also, since Josie knows the word "Jump" she can easily jump 4 foot fences IF told it's "OK". However, she's SUCH a homebody, she doesn't run away, she'll just jump back over.

If you think you might be a good fit for Josie, please let your placement coordinator know! She's quite a steal!

UPDATES:
05/22/2009:

Hello everyone! Sorry it's taken me so long to update...FM has been on the computer A LOT lately! Not only did FM and FD decide to get MARRIED last weekend...She's also student teaching...so she's been HOGGING the computer!

Anyways...Things are GREAT here! I'm really getting into the routine of things! And FM says she's SOOO proud of me! She thinks I'm the FIRST foster to never potty (EVEN ONCE!) on the floor! I'll do ANYTHING to be let out first!

She has also noticed that the only time I'm "destructive" is if I'm in the kennel. She's tried it out and she forgot she had something on top of the kennel. Well, it looked SO tempting up there, I just HAD to get it in my kennel for a closer look. She didn't think that was such a great idea...But now I know what tissue paper is! :) So now I've taught them it's just easier to leave me out of the kennel.

All in all, things are great! And I have to say a HUGE GIGANTIC thank-you to my sponsors! The "M" family has graciously sponsored me! I can't give you enough kisses! You know you'll always have a piece of my heart ;)

Love, Hugs, Slobbers, and Kisses,
JOSIE

06/02/2009:

Hi All! Just wanted to drop a quick note...FM said I've been such a good girl that I can take them to Fury Motor's Dog Days! So I'll see YOU there!

Also, FM and FD took me to the Coon Rapids Dam the other day! Boy! Was that a treat! They let me run around and chase a frisbee because they trust I'll come right back. Then, we even got to go swimming! WHOA! Was that nice and cool...and FUN FUN FUN F-U-N! I loved swimming out after those sticks! Apparently I smelled kinda stinky afterwards because I got a bath. That was kinda nice. And now, I'm SO soft and fluffy! And I smell SUPER GOOD!

As always, if I've stolen your heart, please let your placement coordinator know so I can finally meet you!

06/14/2009:

Hi Everybody! It's been awhile since FM let me update, so here it goes!

Things have been going great around here! They are such SUCKERS for the puppy face that they usually let me sleep on the bed! Sometimes they say "Get Down Josie", so I do. I sleep on the floor then....until about 3 AM then I jump back up on the bed and they don't even notice! :)

I forgot to tell you all that I take a medicine every day called "Proin". It helps my bladder be mighty strong! Sometimes when I get SUPER SUPER excited I can let a little pee out... But, all in all, my bladder has been holding great with this medicine! (And it's NOT expensive at all!) FM and FD have only seen a little dribble of pee once, and it was on the first day I got here, because I was so excited with all the new smells and animals!

Also, I've been learning to play tug a little bit with the resident here...I never had my very own dog before. She's ok. I'd do well in a home with or without another dog. I'm not all that interested in her though, so if you're looking for a best buddy companion for your current dog, I'm probably not it. But, I'd LOVE to be YOUR best buddy companion forever and ever and ever! So, if you're interested or have ANY questions about me, PLEASE let your placement coordinator know! I'd LOVE to meet you! And I promise to greet you with a smile (Check out all my new pics-I'm ALWAYS smiling!)

Love and Kisses,
Josie (Posie)

06/26/2009:

Hello! Miss Josie Posie here! I have had a few fun-filled weeks here! And you'll NEVER guess what I did! I jumped off a garage roof! Yes. I was at the puppy-sitters and I just wanted to go with her when I thought she was leaving. The garage wasn't very high and I'm TOTALLY fine! I went to the vet and the only thing wrong was a small scrape on my chin! (FYI- I was the SECOND dog to go into my regular vet that had jumped off a garage...So it's normal, right?) My wonderful puppy-sitter really fell in love with me! We became bonded...I just LOVE people SO much!

One thing that I am SUPER proud of is that I FINALLY figured out what these people mean when they say "Drop It"! Silly humans!

I just love life and love to hang out! You HAVE to come meet me! My humans are sweet, but I'm ready for my own family again. I'd love to snuggle you, it's my favorite! And I'm SUCH a good listener, I'd do ANYTHING to please you!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE contact your placement coordinator to come see me. I miss you already.

Hugs and Kisses!
J

07/01/2009:

Wow! What a fun weekend! We went to St. Cloud for FM's niece's birthday bash! Boy! Was that fun!!

I had so much fun running around with the kids in the backyard! And they even took me to the park!

I did a great job in that new house and stayed with FM where she slept. I felt like my normal self and had a great weekend enjoying the weather. The rain during the parade wasn't that fun...but it was an experience. I didn't even mind all the loud noise or people either. It was fun to see everybody!

Check out my new pics! I told FM there was something SUPER SUPER good at the bottom of that toy bin in the garage. But, she didn't believe me, so I had to show her! So when I FINALLY fished it out from the bottom of the toy bin, I showed her it was a tennis ball (still attached to the velcro disk for a human hand!). I'm a silly girl who LOVES my tennis balls and I don't care if they're attached to velcro or still in the Chuck-it. I want it anyway! :)

I'm still waiting for you to email. You know who you are. I'm ready.

Kisses,
Josie

07/24/2009:

Hello to my fans! Sorry I haven't written...I've had it rough here, as you can see in the picture :) There are just so many naps to take, meals to eat and walks to enjoy! Not to mention the strenuous days I get to go to my babysitters! Days FULL of walks, running, snuggling and spoiling! :)

I am still adored by every family I visit...I am a great ambassador and I think I do a stellar job introducing new folks into the RAGOM family. Everyone is STILL saying, "WOW! I can't believe she's not adopted! She's so sweet, and well trained...and cute!" Well, I was thinking that if maybe you said you were interested, FM would finally take a video of me doing some of my tricks. Then you could REALLY see my personality!

08/18/2009:

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated!

We've realized there are three things Josie is OBSESSED with:

  1. Balls (really, ANY kind...She even found a golf ball and carried it around at grandma's house)
  2. Water bottles (the kind YOU drink from. She will keep staring at you until you give her the bottle)
  3. Squirt bottles...She loves to be squirted in the face! We don't have a hose, but I bet she'd love that as well!

Also, Josie is FINALLY reliably learning "DROP IT". She's getting really good! I always thought she was the perfect dog...So smart, always wanting to please and such a good listener. But, now that she knows "DROP IT", she's just the best! Whenever we go on Home Visits, nobody believes she's seven years old! She's so full of life, energy and spunk! What a lover! If you want a best friend, she's your girl! Please contact your placement coordinator if you're ready to meet Josie! She's ready to meet you!
