Meet Sweet Little Honey. She is one of the puppy millers from MO. She is 4.5 years old and newly spade and ready to find her forever family.
Honey has been in Minnesota for a little over a week and shows all the signs of a classic puppy miller. She is very timid and runs from you if you approach too fast. But, she is making huge improvements in the trust area. She follows me everywhere and never needs a leash because she is Velcro Momma. But, when we go outside she does not try and run away. She stays right with me and is very easy to walk. She loves our dog and ignores the cat. her favorite resting spot is right in front of the screen door in our bedroom.
Honey has a beautiful disposition. She is very mellow and laid back. She currently has the drooping belly indicating that she has had many litters and at least one fairly recently. The vet seemed to think that she would tighten up with time and exercise. She is very petite. Though she currently weighs 65 pounds, she is considered overweight and needs exercise to help her lose the weight.
I do not believe I have had a sweeter dog. She loves being near you and if you go, she goes. Yet she is a quick learner, figuring out what "Outside" means within a day. She has been a reluctant eater but that is quickly changing. We have had a few accidents as she is sorting out that she is supposed to go outside, but that is rapidly improving as well. She is easily able to go all day or all night without an accident.
What Honey needs now is a patient, loving family that can help her recover from the trauma of her being caged all of her life. She would do best if there were another dog in the household to help her figure out how to play and run and have fun. She is a beautiful light gold with a magnificent ruff and undercoat. She has a small, petite head with big beautiful brown eyes that just beg you to pet her. We will be at the RAGOM picnic so come on down and visit with our sweet baby.
Honey has been adopted by the K family. She will go home with them at the RAGOM picnic. They and their lovely Emma were a perfect match for Honey. And I still get to come to the picnic with her!
It is with sad hearts and tears that we report the loss of our sweet Honey Buns.
