Coal came into RAGOM when his family made the difficult decision to lovingly surrender him because he did not get along all the time with their resident dog. Coal is a beautiful, healthy boy. Because he resource guards with other dogs, Coal must be the only dog in the home with no cats. Any children in the home should be age 5+ and have experience with dogs because Coal can be a little grabby with balls and toys and startles with quick movements. A physical fence is not required as long as there is a plan in place to keep Coal safe. Coal needs a family willing to continue training to manage his resource guarding with other dogs and nervous behaviors, to nurture his need for mental stimulation and exercise, and to enjoy his playful and loving nature.
