Profile

Meet Angel! And is she ever an Angel! She is a small--about 50 pounds. She is said to be purebred Golden Retriever but looks like she could have some yellow Lab mixed in. Angel was surrendered because her owner had too many animals. Angel has lived with other dogs and is getting along great with resident GR Bo. She is also getting along great with my friend's 3 dogs. Angel is a typical energetic young 2 year old but she knows how to calm down. She doesn't jump up, gives up her belly for rubs and gives the sweetest kisses!!

Angel had part of her tail amputated a while back from what is called Happy Tail Syndrome. She wagged her tail so much that a wound opened up and when you are as sweet and happy as Angel is, those wounds are hard to heal. Her tail is all healed now and you hardly notice that she is missing a piece at the end. Angel has a history of chronic ear infections and the vet thinks she may have allergies. So she is on a trial of special food to see if that makes a difference. No meds needed.

Angel chases cats so would do best in a home with no cats or very confident cats. Young children are fine since she doesn't jump or run into people. She listens easily to corrections so is learning to walk on leash without pulling. She is a girl who really wants to please! Angel will do OK in a house with or without another dog. I don't think from what I know right that she would need a fenced yard but more to come as I get to know her.
