7/24/05: Annie is a very sweet 7 year old girl, who was found at a 4th of July parade in the Brainerd area with her collar and leash still attached. After searching for her owner, it turns out that she had given Annie away, and didn't want her back. This is so hard to believe because she is so beautiful and laid back and a real sweetie.
I went to St. Cloud and picked up Annie last night, and found out that she likes to bark at large trucks on the highway when we passed them. Mostly semis, but larger vehicles triggered this, too. Otherwise she rode just fine in the car, sitting upright in the back seat during the whole drive. When we got to the luxury Golden resort back home, she had no problem with my resident dog, or her visiting sister. All three girls have gotten along great and have been very busy tearing apart babies (stuffed toys) and having snacks and naps. Upon filling the pools outside with water, I found out Annie didn't really care to partake, and would much rather dig holes under the deck. We will begin trying to break her of this habit. You can see her dirt covered nose in one of the pictures, as she had tried to bury a huge bone.
She is completely potty trained and has had free roam. She really has no interest in the kitties, and actually sniffed one and walked away. She is already spayed, and will go in this week for a full check up and to get her shots.
She likes to be very close to me and lays under my feet at the computer as I type. She's a babe, just like all the others, and will make somebody a wonderful pet indeed! More later when we've had more time.
