I'd like to re-introduce you to Asher, a sweet, smart, handsome 1.5 year old Golden mix. Asher and his siblings came into RAGOM in March of 2011 as 8 week puppies. They were saved from a high kill shelter in Joplin, MO. Shortly after arriving in foster care, Asher and 3 of his siblings were diagnosed with the deadly disease parvo. Asher and all but one of his siblings survived and all were adopted into loving forever families.

Fast forward 9 months and Asher found himself back in RAGOM's care. His adoptive family (first time dog owners) were not able to provide the training and daily exercise a young, active puppy required. Asher spent a month or so in foster care and then found a new forever family. However this forever family did not work out either. Asher had an unfortunate incident with a young child in his new home and ending up biting her after she finished eating her dinner one evening. The mom did not see what happened but because of the bite, Asher was returned to RAGOM again.

Asher is now in boarding at Stone Mountain waiting for an available foster home to open up. He must be fostered in a home that does not have children and can only be adopted to an adult only home. Asher is neutered, current on vaccines and ready to find his final forever home. He is a very smart boy, who knows sit, stay, down, give a paw, roll over and walks well on leash wearing a gentle leader. He loves people, gets along fine with other dogs and has lived with cats. He is completely housebroken.

While Asher may not look like a typical Golden he does have a Golden heart. Asher would love to find a family who would like to take him to obedience school as he loves to learn and would do great with learning new skills and tricks. He is only 45 pounds and is full grown. He is healtjhy, his coat is beautiful, he is very handsome and easy to care for.
