Introducing Bhaiya;
A beautiful, mixed breed dog with brindle coloring. She was surrendered by a loving, loving SO who was moving all the way to Victoria, BC and was concerned that she did not have a place for him at the other end.
It is clear that this dog has been extremely well loved. His teeth are pearly white, his ears are clean as a whistle, his coat is beautifully groomed and he is a calm, gentle, sensitive dog. He has had homeopathic care with all sorts of natural oils, minerals and vitamins to keep him healthy. He also eats a corn free diet of lentils, rice, peas, some chicken and some kibble that is grain free. I haven't quite figured it all yet, but I will.
After picking up Bhaiya (pronounced By Ya), we had a very quiet and uneventful ride home. He settled right down in his carrier/bed and I did not hear a peep from him. When we arrived home, I spent a little time introducing him to my yard, and then brought him in the house to meet my critters. He did great, has so far completely ignored the cat and is doing well with my Cocker. With soaring temperatures and humidity, walks have been kept to a minimum, but I have introduced him to the Gentle Leader, and after complaining a little bit by trying to "wipe it off" he settled right into it. He is not an energetic walker, keeps a slow pace with periodic stops to smell the roses! I am sure my neighbors are enjoying the comedy of my walking style with arms stretched in opposite directions for a fast paced cocker and slow paced Golden.
He is UTD on his rabies and has been checked for heartworm. SO did not believe in chemicals so has been using homeopathic care to keep him healthy. He does have a mild yeast infection on his skin which is being treated with bathing, I will be checking in with the vet on that when we go for his intake visit.
This boy is amazing and he will be a great addition for a quiet, loving home. I will post better photos soon, and update after our vet trip.
