Say hello to Bogart!! At this moment not many pictures yet as he will not sit still long enough to have his picture taken or they come out blurry. But if you were him in this house with two female GR and you would be too busy to sit also.

Bogart’s DOB is 8/16/2010, he just turned a year old, he is about 73lbs, tall and long bodied, he is ½ lab, ¼ GR & ¼ poodle. He is completely up to date and all shots and has been neutered. He is a good boy who has been thru obedience training (1st level), we did have some rough first few days but that is expected in a new environment. He is completely in love with my Ali (GR) but she wants nothing to do with him as her PM days are done. And Missy the ruler of the house she also wants nothing to do with him and she tells him so, but as a young lad he’s still not getting the message to his hormones yet.

As I have a large fenced in backyard, he is completely enjoying himself to run around like a crazy lad. He has met the lassie (GR) next door and they run up and down the fence line, and he thinks that this is fun. He heard the dogs on the other side of my privacy fence and he wants nothing to do with them and runs from their barking. My other neighbors on the back side of the house, Bogart is dying to meet as they have children and he does love kids. But his large size maybe an issue for possible knocking them over.

Bogart’s previous owners said that he is afraid of loud noises and does not like thunderstorms and lightning; loud trucks, lawn mower, vacuum….. but I have to say that he chases the vacuum, runs circles around me while I mow and thinks that this is a game. When the swifter sweeper comes out he looks at this like it’s some crazy toy and chases this too. Firecrackers he does NOT like at all, he sat/laid next to me while I worked on my laptop. Thunder/lightning does not seem to bother him too much, as he just laid on the floor and played with toys or chased Ali.

Car rides, Bogart HATES car rides, this was an accident waiting to happen. Not sure how to fix this one but to put him in a kennel. We need to work on this issue fast.

What kind of home or family would Bogart do great in:

• No small children possibly under 8 years old
• Cats: Bogart did finally see our cat in the window and was afraid of him and kept backing away but never barked. So he could possibly live with cats
• Only dog or multiple dogs, either would work for Bogart, but he needs lots of exercise as he has energy
• Fence or no fence, I would like to see Bogart in a fence so that he can run when he wants too or if you are a jogger he may enjoy that with you.
