Meet Bud! I have had Bud for a week now and all I can say is WOW. He is the sweetest and most easy going guy! He came to my home without missing a beat, was comfortable from the get go and such a good boy! I have given him free roam of the house with my resident Murphy since day one. Bud gets along with everyone he meets, very outgoing, curious and playful with the right dog.
Bud was born on 4/23/1999 so he will be 12 years old on Friday. Bud was surrendered because his owner was no longer able to care for him. Bud clearly has been loved and taken care of in his life because he knows all the commands, has great recall and knows a few tricks. Bud is so well-adjusted, probably more than any dog I've had and that includes my own resident dogs! Really, Bud is perfect and not to mention cute as a button! You can see one of Bud's cute tricks here.

Bud is on some maintenance vitamins for joints and coat. He also had been diagnosed with diabetes insipidus (DI) while in care of his previous owner so he came to us with drops for his eyes as treatment. He takes a tiny little drop in the corner of his eye every day before bedtime. Contrary to what I've been reading about DI, Bud seems to have full control of bladder and has never had an accident in my house even during the workday stretches. He drinks about as much water as my resident dog which seems normal to me.
Bud has perfect house manners. He likes to be near you but is not a velcro dog, and he also knows when and how to get out of your way. He likes to hang out under the chair in the kitchen when I'm cooking or doing dishes.

Bud has quickly learned the house rules according to resident dog Murphy so they have become fast friends. They seem to hang out well together and are really two peas in a pod.

All in all, Bud has captured FM's heart. He's got her wrapped around his paw. He does not get on the furniture on his own, but he will 'ask' to get on the bed with a little help. How can FM resist?!

Bud is definitely ready for his forever home. I know he is almost 12, but he has a lot of life in him and SO much to give! I really feel any family would be so lucky to have him no matter how long or short. You just couldn't go wrong with this guy!
Oh yeah, and P.S.
Bud will be at the PetCo event in West St. Paul on 4/23 with Auntie Kris! :)
