Profile
Meet Casey, a 1.5 year old, neutered purebred male Golden. He’s a big marshmallow, sweet, goofy, and house broken!!
Casey was a cherished family pet that was surrendered to RAGOM by a family that has fallen on some hard times. It is apparent by his playful, carefree personality, and trust of people that he was very well treated in the past.
Casey is a big boy, about 90 pounds, but could stand to lose some weight. At his vet visit last month it was suggested that he lose 10—15 pounds. While he has a stocky build I think it would best if he dropped closer to 15 pounds. He has had some basic obedience training but needs continued training as he has a habit of jumping and licking people. Since he is a larger dog I do not feel that he would be best suited for a family with small children as he would most likely bowl them over. With a little time and effort this issue can be overcome, but anyone considering adopting Casey will have to work with him on these correctable issues.
Casey comes complete with an AKC Registration Application, Certificate of Pedigree, lineage information and pictures and descriptions of his parents. Casey’s mother, Bonnie, is described as "She has that big blocky head. She is full of energy and is always first to the pond. She treats everyone like they are just special and is so gentle with our grandchildren." Casey’s father, Hunter, is described as "a magnificent dog with all the patience in the world. Many of his offspring are active in therapy work, agility or just outstanding pets."
While Casey has only been with me one day I know he would do well with other dogs, and due to his love of people probably would do fine as the only dog in the household. He was invisible fence trained at his prior home and respected his boundaries so a large invisible fenced yard would suit Casey fine.
