Profile

Cheyenne is a 4 year old Golden Retriever mix.   Possibly with a spaniel.   She is all golden at heart.   Other than a couple of white patches, white belly and her white "shoes" she looks all golden.   Her hair feels like mink and it is thick.  She is missing the long tail of a golden, which if you have ever almost broke your neck trying to NOT step on the tail of a golden who is laying by your feet, not having a tail might be a good thing for you.   She does not seem to miss it a bit.    When she is happy she wags what is there plus her whole back end.   And she is happy most of the time.

Cheyenne is a sweet good natured girl.  She LOVES to have her belly rub.  She immediately lays down each time you come home hoping for a good rub.    She knows sit, lay, stay and will hold the stay for a long time.   She is a good watch dog as she barks to alert you of anyone coming.   She barks at strangers but once she is introduced will roll over for those belly rubs!!   She is good with other dogs and settled in quickly  with the other fur-kids.    She shares toys most of the time and will play tug of war with ropes.    She is not fierce about guarding toys and food but has given only a small growl to say "that's mine", but stops immediately when told to be quiet.

She loves to wrestle with other dogs but will also lay quietly when it is time to settle down.  She loves to go for rides, walks and loves to go to the doggy park.   She does not seem to want to go swimming even when the other dogs do.   But I don't see her as being afraid of the water either.   It just isn't her thing.     She is current on all her shots but will need to be spayed before being adopted.

The other night after working in the garden, I decide to take time out and sit in the backyard swing.   Cheyenne came running immediately and climbed up in the swing with me.   I don't know a lot about Cheyenne's background, but this made me think this was not the first time she had been in a swing.

She has very cute characteristics that will endure her to your heart.   She crosses her front paws like a proper lady should.   She has the curliest  ears I have ever seen.  She loves to snuggle on the coach and she will keep your feet warm in the winter.

Cheyenne will be at PetSmart Saturday, September 13th if you are interested in meeting her in person.
