5/1/06: Duke has come back into RAGOM because his family didn't have enough time for him, therefore Duke spent way too much time in his kennel. He is settling in very nicely, although it took him several hours to calm down--understandable for a 2 1/2 year old dog. I caught him drinking out of the toilet this morning and out of a bucket of water that I had washed his feet in. It was in a most inconvenient place, too. He had a fresh bucket of water right next to his food bowl!

We just got back from the vet. He has a clean bill of health as we expected. He is up to date on everything until July. He just loves to go out in the yard and chase the ball. With the mess our yard is in right now, it takes me 25 minutes to clean him up after he's been playing! He is very tolerant of being wiped off and having his feet dipped in the water. But we'll be so glad when it dries out.

There will be more later as we get to know him a little better.
