Welcome one very wet “Happy” to Ragom.  His name sure fits his personality!  He didn’t care that it was raining when we wanted to take his picture – so here you go! Happy is a very handsome, 8-month old, 45-pound PB male Golden Retriever.  He came to Ragom because his “neighbors” have chickens, and Happy likes them too much…  His family was afraid of him getting shot.

He came to us a few days ago and has settled in well.  He likes playing with our resident German Sheppard (11yrs) and Golden/Lab mix (1.5 yrs).   Happy is potty trained, UTD, and soon to be neutered.  He LOVES to play outside.  He likes kids (lived with 5 children).  We don’t know about cats.   After settling in and relaxing a bit, more of his personality has come out. His tail is always wagging, and he gives great puppy kisses.  He likes to cuddle with my daughter (18) and me, but isn’t a velcro dog.  He likes my son (20) and husband and everyone that comes in the door.  Doesn’t resource guard anything or anyone, jump up on people, or need constant attention.  He loves to play with bones and dog toys – and can entertain himself.  He did bark a bit after he was here a couple days, but we used a spray bottle of water – and it seemed to work (on all three dogs :-)).  We will keep working on that.

Happy will post as soon as he gets back from his surgery (Neuter) this week.
