It is our pleasure to introduce Jessie. She became a member of our family just over a month ago. At a robust 30 pounds, she is love on four feet. She has a wonderfully sweet, curious, gentle temperament and wants nothing more than to please her people. She loves to run and play and has quickly made friends with the neighbors, human and canine. She does very well with other animals. Jessie is also extremely smart. It took very little effort to get her house trained. She is also quickly learning commands like sit and down. Jessie was a stray found on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. So her initial response to most situations is to be very timid and submissive. However, as she has gotten more comfortable here and been exposed to new situations this behavior has started to wear off. She has had very limited exposure to small children, so she is still very timid around them. She is also very timid around men in particular. Although once she figures out that they aren’t going to hurt her, she warmsup nicely.
Jessie is a puppy and so we have to be on our toes with regard to chewing, shoes are a particular favorite. She has also discovered that there is people food and cat food on the table. And even if we move it to the center of the table, she discovered if you pull the table cloth, you can get it close enough to the edge to grab. Did I mention she is a smart one?
Jessie is spayed, micro chipped and up to date on her shots.
We consider ourselves so blessed to have her as a member of our family.
