Profile

King Tutt, a handsome, energetic, 3-year-old mix was helped to cross the bridge on Monday, 2/27/17. He had done a lot of traveling and seen a lot during his life. King Tutt was transported to the humane society in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, from a shelter in Mississippi. He arrived unable to tell us his story in words. King Tutt arrived heartworm positive. The humane society started him on treatment for the heartworms. After evaluation, the humane society asked RAGOM if we would take him. So Tutt 17-021 became a RAGOM dog. Even though Tutt did show food aggression, he was also very happy and full of life. He got along fine with the female staff members at the humane society. Tutt was placed on the plea, and no foster stepped up to offer him a home. Therefore, he was transferred to boarding. During the transfer, we learned he was fearful of men and did not want to get into the transporter's van. At Stone Mountain, he seemed to be adjusting. However, after about 72 hours, he began exhibiting not only extreme food guarding, but also some kennel aggression and reactivity towards humans. There was an evaluation at Stone Mountain by RAGOM's Behavior Services team that confirmed the severity of the aggression. This beautiful dog was never able to live up to his potential due to the hardships he suffered, both physical and emotional. Run free over the bridge, Tutt, and be happy.
