Koby came into RAGOM as an owner surrender. He was diagnosed with cancer in his right leg when he arrived at RAGOM. This turned out to be an intermediate grade sarcoma (soft tissue tumor) that usually does not spread to other parts of the body. The cancer was completely resected and he is doing well since surgery. However, there is a 20-35% chance the cancer will return in the same location in the next few years, so this will need to be monitored. Koby will do well with children of all ages. He loves playing with the resident dog in his foster home, but will also do well as an only dog. He has not been exposed to cats. He will sometimes bark when alone in the house, thus a home with shared walls is not recommended. Koby will make a great family pet, but will need an experienced family and obedience training to help him reach his full potential.
