Profile

Welcome to RAGOM, Lena, and a HUGE thank you to her wonderful transporters, Ellie & her mom, who drove all the way to Iowa to bring us this sweet girl! She LOVES her blanket and it will of course follow her to her new home!

Lena is a littermate of Sally (09-056) and Zoey (09-057). She was surrendered by a breeder because, like her sisters, she was found to have a heart murmur. :( However, it appears that Lena only has a Grade II murmur, which is pretty common in puppies, and it is likely that she will grow out of it, and/or that it will never bother her. Phew, that was good news... but we still have our fingers & paws crossed for her sisters!

Lena (or Lexie as we've been calling her), is of course DARLING, but also has a fantastic little puppy personality, which is coming out more and more every day (this is day #3 with us). She seems to be a pretty well-adjusted little girl, despite not having a lot of socialization during her first weeks of life. She LOVES other dogs, LOVES to be held and cuddled (seriously, she will sit on your lap for hours!), and LOVES to play like the spunky little girl she is. But get this one... she is also a GREAT sleeper! She slept through the night the first night we had her, and I thought it was a fluke since she'd had a long, stressful day. Nope, she did it again last night. Both mornings I was up before her, she'd kept her crate dry, and just calmly batted her cute little eyelashes at me to take her out. Good girl! Clearly she's figured out what it takes to be an irresistable little pupper. I think my niece would agree, as she snuggled her up a good part of yesterday afternoon and evening.

Lena has had her puppy shots and de-worming, and is a happy, healthy girl looking for her perfect family! They will have to be OK with a bit of uncertainty around her heart murmur, since there are never any guarantees, but the likelihood is that it will resolve itself and never cause her any problems. Let us know if you are interested in meeting this little sweetie!
