Meet Lexy!

Lexy is a 5 year old female Golden Retriever. She is happy, healthy, affectionate, well trained and house broken. She is a little shy with new people but warms up quickly, and is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met!

Lexy was surrendered by her prior family as they reported that she suffered from Separation Anxiety. Lexy has been living in her current foster home for the past week and has not exhibited outward signs of Separation Anxiety. However, she has not been left alone for more than a couple hours at a time. When returning home she is happy to see the people in her life but not crazy or wild. In addition, I have left a video recorder running when leaving to see how she reacts when left alone. She usually waited at the door for a minute or two and then laid down in view of the door. It should be noted that she was left completely alone as the resident dog was home with her.

Lexy’s perfect home would be one where:

·         She would not be left alone for long periods of time.

·         One that has another well adjusted dog as I feel she looks to another dog for reassurance.

·         Probably most important is someone/family that would include her in most everything, as she really wants to be close and to be involved in what ever the people of her life are doing.
