6/13/06: Lily is in. She's a pretty 3 year old girl who was put into a yard at 8 weeks old and never left that yard for 3 years. She has never seen a vet, never been on a leash, and never been brushed. She is pretty matted and covered with ticks. She is also overweight, but, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, so I am not going to comment on that.

She has adjusted to life in the house with no problems. She likes the cats, is learning to play with our dogs (right now the way she plays with my Doberman looks like an interrupted dance with neither touching each other). She just adores our baby and wants to be so close to her at all times. She doesn't understand our parrots and looks for another person when they talk.

She never has been in a crate, but took right to it and has found out what toys are and she is enjoying that. We have also had no accidents in the house :)

She will be going to the vet on Thursday to be spayed, start her vaccinations, and have the mats shaved. More to come as we get to know this girl.
