7/28/06: Everybody say "Hola" to Lola! She is a sweet 17 month old, medium gold girl who weighed in at 62lbs today. She is spayed, UTD on every vaccination imaginable, negative for heartworm and in fantastic condition. This little girl came from a very loving family that made the very difficult decision to let her go so she could have another family that would be able to love her even more and have more time to spend with this wonderful girl.

Lola is just about as sweet as they come. She has a lot of energy, and will need lots of walks and play times to let out her still very rambunctious inner-puppy. I just got her last night, and she is already settling in beautifully. Lola loves my 3 resident dogs, and is trying sooo hard to make friends with my cat. He just doesn't seem to think that a strange/playful puppy is something to be trusted. How much more incorrect could he be?! Lola is very gentle and loves to play with other dogs, kids are also a never ending source of entertainment for her! She was so wonderfully behaved with the neighbors tonight.

I had my fingers crossed that I would get another water-dog since I live on a lake...and once again I completely lucked out! She LOVES to play in the water, but just doesn't have the actual swimming thing down yet. Instead, she looks like she's trying to step on top of the water...but gets around fine anyway. We spent about 2 hours tonight trying to swim just like the 5 mo old resident Golden pup. Lola is getting better, but just not quite there yet! Oh well, we'll get it down soon and she'll be jumping off the dock to get the tennis balls in no time! Maybe she'll even be able to out swim my pup?

In short, Lola is a fantastic young girl who could make any family extraordinarily happy. She knows some commands, and seems to be a quick learner. There are only a few little bad habits that we are working on, but with a quick learner like this...she'll be even more perfect soon.
