Meet Mimi! She is a 2-year old Golden Retriever looking for her forever home to live out her Golden life!
Mimi came to us from another foster home earlier this week. I believe she originally came from the same place that Misty 19-139 came from and they appear to be sisters.
Mimi is a former commercial breeder mom and is fearful of all the new things she has experienced in such a short time. It is safe to say her life was turned upside down yet again this past week when she switched foster homes.
When she first arrived here she was so scared she wouldn't even look at us. Plus, she had just been spayed earlier that day so she didn't feel the greatest. On top of all that, we live in a very urban area and there are lots of sounds she needs to get used to.
She has found the toy box. She loves to bring toys into her crate, which is set up in the dining room. The only toys we have out right now are the indestructible kind so she won't be eating anything she shouldn't.
She hasn't chewed on anything she shouldn't as of yet, but her poo indicates otherwise. Because she isn't housebroken, and because she has just been spayed, she has been either tethered to me or crated at all times as she needs to learn how to live in the house.
She is getting braver and bolder each day and it's been fun to watch. More to come soon from Mimi!
