Lucky is a 3-5 five year old golden retreiver mix who is full of love! She has been with us a few weeks now and in that time she was spayed and brought up to date on shots. She has also started learning her name. She's relearning her name because she was abandoned or a stray pup in a rural area. Our vet believes she may be a Golden/Border Collie mix or possible a Golden/Great Pernese mix. She's a perfectly healthy 3-5 year old.
She is adjusting great to the golden life in our home. She's had no accidents in the house, loves taking naps in her kennel, and is learning to play with toys. Initially she had no interest in toys, but now loves bones and soft/squeeky toys. She has also done really well meeting all sorts of other dogs and cats. She has been very nice to our resident cats and our dog. She's also met a 10 week old puppy who she treated like her own pup; played very gently. She's also met my parents two goldens and two cats and played like a perfect lady.
Currently we're working with Lucky on "sit," as well as "off" because she does do a little bit of counter surfing if unsupervised. She does great in her kennel during the day and while sleeping at night, so we do kennel her whne we aren't home.
Overall, Lucky is a wonderful girl who will make any family very happy. She loves giving kisses and cuddly, and is always very excited to play when we get home each night. She's a happy girl with lots of love to share.
