Hello everyone,

Please allow me to introduce Maddie. She is a 9 year old, female, Golden Retriever. Maddie came to RAGOM from a breeder who has chosen to no longer breed.

I am very happy to report that Maddie is healthy. She saw the veterinarian two days ago and was found to have no health issues. YAY! She is very friendly, LOVES, LOVES, children and just wants to be pet. She is getting along well with my dog also.

We are told that Maddie was well socialized and basic obedience trained. While Maddie is very good about not jumping on people, I have not found that she knows how to heel or sit so perhaps she'll need to re-learn some of what she was taught in the obedience department. This girl appears to be housebroken. She has not had any accidents in the house and will paw at the door to the backyard when she wants to go out. I am going to give Maddie free roam of the house tomorrow while we are away at work and see how it goes.

Since Maddie spent alot of time living in a barn, she was super stinky and full of ticks when she first arrived in the Twin Cities. Thank you to super volunteer Kris for transporting her AND giving her an initial bath. Maddie went to the groomer today and is now all gussied up! She looks just beautiful! Her fur is silky soft and shiny.

Maddie is looking for her forever home where she can sleep and cuddle the day away. She enjoys her walks and likes to sniff all of the good smells along the walking path at the local park. She also enjoys stuffed toys and bones to chew on.

Maddie has so much love to give and will reward you with unwavering devotion as senior dogs often do.
