In a few days I will have had Caramel for 2 months. It's hard to believe this is the same dog who arrived November 5th. I see in her a 7 month old puppy who is joyful, confident and curious each day. Caramel and I owe a debt of gratitude to my Labs, Mick and Gabby. It hasn't always been easy for them being harrassed by a 55 pound bundle of energy.
Since my last update I am happy to report that her coccidia test came in negative, her spay went well and an ear infection has been treated. I've been tempted to declare her potty trained a few times, but we're not quite there just yet. Her newfound confidence has her becoming a bit more mischievious and she's not trustworthy enough to be left unattended or unrestrained yet.
Caramel, in spite of the cold weather, loves being outside. She will often stay out even when the other dogs come in. She loves to bring sticks that she finds in the yard inside for a chew. If she's not napping when inside, she loves to lie in the bay window and look outside. She also loves the tug-of-war battles she gets into with Gabby.
