Profile

Maggie is a 3 1/2 yr old PB Golden Retriever who came to RAGOM from a family who felt they could no longer give her what she needed. I have had her for 3 days now and learning more about her every day.
Maggie went to the vet yesterday and weighed in at 75.6 lbs. She is at a pretty good weight but could do okay with losing 3-5 lbs. She is now UTD on vaccinations and microchipped. She was a very good trooper at the vet and rolled over for belly rubs from those who offered some lovin'.
Ms. Maggie loves to go on walks but does pull quite a bit. She came with a Easy Walk harness and if I could figure out how to get the darn thing on her I would try it. :)
She absolutely loves people and is a happy dog. She has not had much exposure to other dogs though and is pretty anxious around the 3 resident dogs. The first day she was here if one of the dogs even looked at her....she would run the other way. Now, she is slowly getting better but tries to stay away from them the best she can.
Maggie will respect baby gates if you are in the room with her (which is what I do at night) but needs to have free roam when home alone. She absolutely hates going in a crate and will lay down and refuse to move if she thinks you are trying to crate her....she does a great sand bag impression. :)  Also, if she is baby gated and you leave the room, she tries to climb over it or knock it over to join you. She just loves her people!
She is definitely a Golden that will follow you from room to room and warm you on cold days!
Maggie will be moving to a new foster home in a few days where she will be able to have free roam. Here at my house, the resident dogs are feeding on her nervousness and I don't feel comfortable with all four having free roam while I am gone for long periods of time. I would hate for an altercation to happen.
Let placement know if you would like to meet Maggie!
