This is Max, a fun 1 year old that is a beautiful red PB Golden. He came to RAGOM  as an unclaimed stray about two weeks ago and he is UTD on shots now and soon to be altered.

Max does have small cataracts in both eyes but I don’t notice any symptoms at this time.  He was very afraid when I picked him up. For the first week he barked protectively every time the “many” teens would come to the door but he must finally feel safe as the barking is at a minimum. He is a sweet boy now that the guard is down and he wants to be leaning on me every chance he gets.

He is a fun, playful boy that is fully house trained, no counter surfing, and will now go into kennel at command (with a treat). Max just wants to please his people and get loved back as he is very submissive. He does not appear to be a runner even though he was a stray and may have gotten out.  I am happy to say that he gets along with cats, all ages of children, will jump in the truck for a ride, and also knows how to fetch a ball from the lake and bring it back!
