12/18/05: Introducing Mukwah! We are told his name means ?bear? in Ojibwa. Mukwah is about 1 ? years old and is a Golden Retriever/German Shepard mix. We picked him up this afternoon after another RAGOM volunteer transported him from northern Minnesota. His owner rescued him from an ex-boyfriend and was unable to keep him because she already has several dogs of her own. Mukwah is mostly black, but has a few golden markings on his face and paws. He looks a little skinny and I think he could stand to put on about 10 pounds.

Mukwah will visit the vet tomorrow evening. If he gets a clean bill of health, he will be neutered Tuesday. This means, he could be a part of your family by Christmas! Email [email protected] if you are interested in meeting Mukwah! I know he?s looking forward to meeting you!
