Pham (real name Sam) is fostered in Aitkin, MN. He is 5 years old, neutered and UTD on immunizations. He has a vet apppointment Monday to get tested for HW and a check up.
Sam was saved by Good Samaritans from being .....I can't say it.....NOT humanely euthanized. Evidently Sam loved being outside with the kids and would get anxious and bust through the screen door. The owners were tired of replacing the door. So they were going to ..... put him down.
The GSs picked ticks off of him, gave him a bath and put Frontline on him. They would have kept him if not for the 3 dogs and 5 cats they already had. And so, they surrendered him to RAGOM. Thank-You! Thank-You!
I have had him for one day. And he has been so far the best dog. He does love to go outside. He had free roam last night and he slept next to our bed. I babygated him in our mud room when I went to work and he was fine.
He is very frightened of men at first. But once he smells them and realizes they are not going to hurt him he is fine.
He is good with our Lewie (Golden) and the neighbor dogs. And he is good with the cats. Sam is not a big dog, we will get a weight when we go to the Vet.
Sam is housebroken. And loves to play with a tennis ball. We will have grandsons this weekend and let you know how that goes. He has the most gentle personality, I can't imagine that it won't go well.
We had a small storm last night, and he did show some storm anxiety but not severe. He would just go and lay down in a safe place. In this case in our loft on the futon. If Sam's vet visit goes good and his heartworm test comes back negative he should be ready to adopt.
