Well, Robbie (as his owners called him) is doing wonderfully on his second day at our house. We have learned a lot already about him--for instance, in Robbie's IDEAL forever home, there wouldn't be many stairs due to the fact that he REALLY wants to go with you upstairs to sleep, but his poor legs don't like to let him, and he gets very sad. He can make it up, but he has to stop along the way a few times to catch his grip. Another of Robbie's comical characteristics is that when he wants you to play with him, he will go grab a toy, and come up to you and growl. And, if you're not expecting it, you might think he is growling because he is guarding toys, but that is NOT the case. His former owners sent a note along that explained this, he is just talkative. He absolutely LOVES my kids (ages 1 and 3), he doesn't bother the cats at all, just lets them go their way, and so far we've had no problems with our 1 yr old male springer or our 10 year old yorkshire terrier. Robbie seems to get along with everyone. In his previous home, he did not enjoy going swimming at all. But does like to take a bath. We will be taking Robbie to the vet to get a clean bill of health before he will be ready for his forever home. Stay tuned for more updates!!
