6/4/05: Rose arrived at my home today with her sister, Lily. They are 14 week old sisters and have mange. Fortunately, the type of mange they have can be treated and is NOT contagious. They are little love bugs ? very sweet and friendly. Rose seems to be the quieter of the two and likes to give hugs ? if I am sitting on the ground, she wants to put her front paws on my shoulders. She will quickly learn that even more love comes her way when all four paws are on the ground. She saw my horse, and while her sister, Lily, began to bark, Rose ran for safety.

So far, I have crated them for a short period of time, and they curled up together and went to sleep. They have been having fun playing with all the soft toys, splashing in the baby pool and running around the yard with my other dogs.

Of the two, Rose has less hair loss.
