Sawyer (and her sister Sailor 22-265) were surrendered to RAGOM by a breeder in late August. Sawyer is 3/4 Golden Retriever and 1/4 Lab. She is a perfectly happy and healthy puppy. As with all puppies, Sawyer can adapt to various home environments (childrenage 5+ or not, other dogs or not, cats or not, fence or not) with the proper upbringing. Prospective adopters must provide a detailed plan for bringing a puppy into their home, including plans for exercise, socialization, obedience training, and keeping the puppy safe in the home environment, yard, and out and about. Puppies are a big commitment, requiring several years of patience and consistent training so that they can become well-mannered, confident family members. Sawyer is not a good candidate for shared wall living.
