Sig “Silence is Golden” came into this world without a peep, without a breath, without a pulse. Foster mom and dad were wondering if his mom Bridget 08-329 was pregnant this morning, but Brittee just did not look like it. But this morning she was nesting and panting and licking. At 1:00 something made foster dad Rick look over and he saw Brittee licking something. He ran into the kitchen and found Brittee and her puppy in the crate. He noticed the pup was not breathing and so he took the pup and tried everything from rubbing him, to breathing in his nose, to pressing his chest. Nothing.

Sig was brought to the vet and we found that his heart was not formed correctly, his lungs never took a breath and Rick did everything right. That is the most important thing to remember right now. Foster dad did everything he knew how; it just was not going to help.

So Sig, our “Silence is Golden,” will always be special in our hearts and Brittee will have a special place too. Please love all your pets and keep them safe!
