Shelby and Simon are 10 week old litter mates. Both were rescued from a mill in Iowa along with Wrigley and Meg. We visited the vet yesterday and they are infested with lice (fortunately not the same kind of human lice so we can't get them) and some parasites. Unfortunately, since they both have lice I had to come directly home and bath both of our resident Goldens and my other two fosters (Mason and Annabelle) along with Shelby and Simon. It also entailed washing all the bedding (including the human bed since the puppies love to sleep with us) and a good vacuuming of all the floors and furniture. We came home from the vet with a good bill of health but with frontline, shampoo and antibiotics because the pups have sores in random areas of their bodies from the lice. Shelby is a very spunky little gal. She likes to have her own way and needs socialization with humans. Simon is a little more laid back. He slept through most of his vet appointment yesterday.
