Profile

Let’s just say that FM is at a loss for words. I think I took her breath away at how beautiful I was. Pshaw. I am a looker, but I don’t boast about it. It’s not what a lady does.

For starters, I’m just 3.5 years old and weigh 60 pounds. I’ve heard about those weight plans for dogs and I’m not about to start down that path. I like an occasional treat, but I need to stay trim. Especially this winter. Walks are precious when the temps are below freezing. Can’t wait for spring!

I came to reside in Fridley because I have a little problem. I have epilepsy. Now, don’t go getting soft on me, it’s really not too bad. I haven’t had a seizure for two weeks. My FM and FD took me to a very nice vet – she’s a lady too – who set me up with a little white pill, 2 times a day. FM gives it to me in peanut butter. Who cares what else is in that spoonful of good tasting stuff! I guess I’ll be taking those pills for a very long time. But hey! If it means peanut butter twice a day, how hard can it be?!

Other current things to know about me: I have an ear infection which is also being treated. I also have toes that are being treated for allergies. Bummer. Good thing is, I get more peanut butter! All of that should be long gone in a couple of weeks. Hope I don’t gain too much weight by then.

I have free roam of most of the house during the day. It’s great fun because I play with the resident dog, Ginger. She’s a peach. FM crates me at night. It’s not so bad, gives me a break from my busy day and I’m I like the quiet, relaxing place.

FM has a four-foot, fenced-in yard which is wonderful because I was used to a garage before. Only one problem right now – the snow is so high, I can get over the fence. So, until we have a little melting, I’m on a 12-foot tie-out. That still gives me plenty of room to roam around and play in the snow.

FM says I can’t go to a furever home yet. They want to make sure I’m doing okay with the new pills. And, I might have to get a tooth pulled out. Oh, my. Don’t you hate to go the dentist?? Well, I’ll be finding that out soon – on Valentine’s Day, of all things. And speaking of that, we’ll probably have a party that day because Ginger is turning four! I think we’re getting “Frosty Paws”. Yum!

Hey! Keep on checking my page out. FM loves to tell everyone what’s up with me. Stay
warm and watch that winter weight. We girls have to stick together!
