Mom is a Golden Retriever/Black Lab mix (and beautiful), and dad is a Lab/Newfoundland mix. The pups pull from that mixed genetic heritage and all three look slightly different, but they have one thing in common—they’re so cute!
Violet is 7 weeks old. She had an initial vet check because her stool was so loose. She had Coccidia and was put on medication. I can already see the difference—she feels so much better! Other than that one issue, she is a healthy and happy pup.
She goes back in for a follow-up appointment to get her first vaccinations when she is 8 weeks old. She’s also scheduled for her pediatric spay surgery. Once she bounces back from that she’ll be ready for her new family!
When Violet first got here she was little Miss Independent, but as each day unfolds, she’s the first one who seeks me out, and she’s the first to come when I call for the puppies.
What really changed things, I think, was when I started talking to her. All of a sudden she was making good eye contact, and she just melted in my arms. She is so sweet—and smart! She has a spunky side too, and when she gets cranked up she is hilarious to watch doing zoomies and wrestling with her siblings.
