We are introducing Little Walter to all of you RAGOM fans. This cute little guy is named after a wonderful gentleman who sadly passed away, Walter 16-071TD. Little Walt came to our home on Sunday, June 12th. He had to "move" from his original foster after a week as he is too fond of kitty cats. He was dropped in a night deposit at a shelter and RAGOM graciously took him in. He was originally thought to be a puppy, but after his wellness check the vet determined he is possibly 2-3 years old. Little Walt looks purebred but we know he is not due to his small size. His new foster home was also the home of Walter 16-071TD and we are overjoyed to look after him until he can find his forever home!

We will be updating Walter's information as we get to know him better but these are the things we have observed in the short time he has been with us:
- Very busy boy
- Knows how to play fetch
- Will jump up but gets down with a "no" and a little push
- Learned in 10 minutes to not eat FM's plants
- Needs work on the leash - only 32lbs so quite manageable!
- Slept quietly in the crate all night
- Likes other dogs and wants to play
- Another dog is optional but a young dog would be best for both of their sanities if he is going to co-exist
- Enjoyed his bath
- Easy to carry!
Walter has been drinking a lot of water and needs to go out very frequently. This may be due to his new environment or possibly lack of water supply in the past. As noted, Walter will jump up so older kids that can tolerate this and help teach him that is not acceptable would be best. He currently has a fenced yard but a tie out may be ok for him.

Walter has been brought UTD but is still in need of neutering. He will visit the vet this Wednesday afternoon for a quick wellness check and we are hoping we can schedule his surgery very soon.If you are an active family that can spend time playing, walking and working with Little Walter on his training please contact your placement advisor - he may be the perfect dog for you!
