Windsor is 4-1/2 to 5 yr old PB Golden was surrendered to Ragom 12-12-10 and has been with us for 3 weeks. He is 50 lbs and needs to gain a little weight, but he is a pretty reddish brown. SO was a breeder and getting divorced so had to get rid of most dogs. Up to date on shots but still intact male (surgery will be next week).
He is shy and can get very scared but he is doing better. He does have the nervous peeing, but is better. He has separation anxiety. We have been crating him the last few days. He seems to be doing ok with that and our door moldings and baby gates appreciate it too.
Windsor came to us with worms and is getting treated for that. Christmas was for adults, grandchildren and other dogs to visit. Windsor did ok with adults and older children as long as they didn’t move too fast. He was mostly ok with younger child (6) but did growl at her once, only as a warning. Visiting dogs ok until they got too much and he growled/barked at them then things were ok.
He has bolted out the door twice and down the road since we have had him I think because of separation anxiety he needs lots of work. He sits with hind legs splayed out vet will look at that. One last note Windsor is trying to teach us Golden talk or he thinks he’s a cat purring.
PS - Windsor needs to learn what it means to be a dog. He doesn’t even know how to play. He sleeps a lot. He has come to the right home to learn that.
PSS - Windsor doesn’t like driving in car much but he is getting better. More to come!
