Meet Winnie the Great!
Winnie is a beautiful 10-month-old Great Pyrenees weighing approximately 95 pounds. She is fully vaccinated, very healthy, and growing into the gentle, loving companion that Great Pyrenees fans adore. With her impressive size, sweet nature, and playful puppy spirit, Winnie is looking for a family that understands and appreciates large-breed dogs.
About Winnie
Winnie is a gentle giant with a kind temperament and a lot of love to give. Like many Great Pyrenees, she is both affectionate and independent. She enjoys being with her people but also has a stubborn, headstrong side that is characteristic of the breed. She is still very much a puppy and is learning about the world every day.
Exercise and Activity
One of Winnie's favorite things is going for walks, especially in the morning, although she is happy for a walk any time of day. She loves spending time outdoors and would thrive in a home where she can safely enjoy fresh air and explore her surroundings. Winnie is strong and energetic, so her future family should be prepared to handle a large, powerful dog and provide regular exercise and enrichment.

Eating and Sleeping
Winnie has a healthy appetite and enjoys her meals. As a rapidly growing giant-breed puppy, she benefits from a consistent feeding schedule and quality nutrition. She settles well for rest and sleep after a day of activity, play, and companionship.
Training
Winnie is not kennel trained and will need continued guidance and consistency as she learns household routines. Because she is still a puppy, ongoing training is extremely important. Large-breed dogs become much easier companions when training begins early and remains consistent.
Her future family should be committed to:
- Basic obedience training
- Leash manners
- Continued socialization
- Positive reinforcement techniques
- Providing mental stimulation and structured activities
Training is especially important with a dog of Winnie's size. Investing time in puppy classes and ongoing training will help her grow into a confident, well-mannered adult companion.
Challenges to Consider
Winnie is not the right fit for a family looking for a low-maintenance dog. She will need:
- Consistent training and boundaries
- Plenty of physical exercise
- Mental enrichment to prevent boredom
- Space appropriate for a giant-breed dog
- A family prepared for her size, strength, and ongoing development
Without a thoughtful plan to keep her engaged and busy, Winnie may create her own entertainment, which is common for intelligent puppies.
Winnie's Ideal Family
Winnie's perfect home will be with people who are fully prepared for the commitment of a giant-breed puppy. She would do best with a family that:
- Has experience with large or giant-breed dogs, or is willing to learn
- Enjoys walks and outdoor activities
- Has the time and patience to continue her training
- Understands that puppies require consistency, structure, and supervision
- Is committed to helping her become the best dog she can be
Winnie is a wonderful mix of sweetness, intelligence, and puppy enthusiasm. With the right guidance, training, and loving home, she will grow into an incredible companion for years to come. If you're looking for a loyal best friend and are ready for the adventure of raising a giant-breed puppy, Winnie may be the perfect addition to your family.
