Daisy is doing amazing and we are so lucky to have her! She is so good with other dogs now and in the house as well. She is so snuggly and sweet - still obsessed with food - but what dog isn't! Daisy came to RAGOM from a family who was moving out of state and sadly could not take Daisy with them. She is an incredibly intelligent, energetic, and a loving Golden Retriever. Daisy only took a few days to acclimate to her new home. She settled in quickly and has been a total delight!

Daisy gets along with our resident Golden Retriever and neighborhood dogs - she will be slightly hesitant at first, but introducing Daisy to new dogs in a shared open environment helps her feel safe and open to new friends. She feeds off the owner's energy, so if you are happy to see a new friend, so will she! She has already made a couple friends in the neighborhood and we are proud of her for being so patient with new people in a new environment. Daisy has only exhibited sweet behaviors with children at the park as they throw the ball for her and she runs around with other dogs! She is very playful, loves to explore, snuggle up close in the evening to her humans, and receive endless belly rubs.

After I'm all tired out from playtime, I like to cozy up next to my foster sister for a good long snooze!
Daisy enjoys a good afternoon chew with a hard bone or tough toys! She and her foster sister like to chew one, then trade, and chew the other.

Daisy is a fast learner (treat motivated - ice cubes included) and has made progress with her manners and recall. She needs an owner who is patient, willing to continue her training and provide lots of love. Look how good I can sit when I'm learning new things! Give me a couple tries at something new and I'll pick it up quickly!

Daisy can be an only dog or she is happy to share her home with other dogs and children. She is definitely happy to grow her circle of friends! Daisy wasn't tested with children in her foster home, but she lived with children in her original home without any reported issues. Daisy was also briefly tested with a cat, and she appeared uninterested. While a fence isn't required for Daisy, you must be dedicated to training and making sure she has perfect recall for her own safety. Until perfect recall is achieved, Daisy would need to always be with you on a leash when outside.
While she doesn't require another dog at her new home, Daisy would love continued socialization through walks, playtime at the park with neighborhood dogs/kids, or even doggy daycare. A family who loves outdoor activities or hikes that would bring Daisy along would be ideal!

I sure will miss my new friend, Huck! Check us out being good for Santa so we can get lots of treats for the holidays!
Daisy is a sweet Golden through and through and will provide any family an abundance of love and entertainment. She is such a gift, true joy, and anyone would be lucky to have her!
Daisy will be spayed on Dec 27th, so she will be ready for adoption in early/mid January.
