Calla
Profile
Meet Calla! This beautiful 6 year old former breeder girl is ready to start her new life with her forever family. She would do best in a calm home that has patience for her as she warms up to new people and builds her confidence. She could be an only dog or fine with another dog. Because of her fear of loud noises and shyness, a home with older children would be a better fit so they know how to respect her comfort and boundaries.

Calla is a 6-year-old Golden Retriever with the sweetest soul. She may be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, she’ll love you forever.
Calla enjoys quiet walks, gentle play, and spending time with people and pets she knows. She feels most confident when following the lead of another dog, though she could also continue to blossom as an only pet with patient guidance.

She’s looking for a calm home where she can feel safe and secure. Because she can be nervous with loud noises, children 10+ would be the best fit. A fenced yard would be wonderful, but not required as long as there’s a good plan to keep her safe—Calla is quick at the door!
Calla does have food sensitivities and will need to stay on prescription food for life, but otherwise she’s a healthy, loving companion ready to share her heart.
Her ideal forever family will give her time, patience, and lots of love—and in return, she’ll be the most loyal friend you could ask for.
