River
Profile
River came to RAGOM from a good samaritan. He has no known medical issues and has some separation anxiety. Another dog is required in the home for River for companionship, confidence, and guidance. He is good with all ages, and can live with cats. A physical fence is optional. He can live in a shared wall space (apartment/condo). He is a loving dog who can't want to find his forever family!

River is a big 3 year old golden who is laid back and loves to be with his humans. He was adopted for a short time by good samaritans who wanted to get him out of an overcrowded home with other dogs who were not always nice to him. He was then surrendered to RAGOM to help him get the right resources and direction to get on with his golden life. He is fond of stuffed animals, tennis balls and chew toys! He is housebroken with no accidents to date with his foster! He does not like to be crated, is somewhat tolerant of being in a gated area but he prefers to be left to roam free when home alone and sleep by the bed at night. He hasn't gotten into any mischief when left out with the resident dogs while his humans are away either!

He has no special medical needs and got a clean bill of health at his wellness exam. He could afford to lose some weight and is working on getting used to eating dog food rather than human food. He does have a little separation anxiety but no aggression or behavioral issues. He gets along with other dogs and is good around cats. He is also fond of children and likes to lay on the bed and listen to bedtime stories, dozing off halfway through. He is coming along on the leash and is a good walking companion. He loves to sit outside and take in the fresh air and sounds of nature. He would benefit from another dog in the house to continue to gain confidence and for companionship.
