Profile
River came to RAGOM from an auction. He has no known behavioral issues and is currently being treated for hookworm, GI issues, and he has some patches of hair missing on his tail and hind legs. He is good with all ages, can live with other dogs and can live with cats. A physical fence would be optional and it is unknown at this time if he can live in a shared wall setting (apartment/condo) as he barks in his kennel. River is looking for his forever home and is excited to meet his new family!

River was one of the dogs rescued from the commercial dog auction in MO. Since coming into our care, River has flourished! Although initially timid, he was brave enough to step out of his comfort zone and walk outside into the yard and mastered going up/down steps quickly! He is a very affectionate boy with beautiful brown eyes (he’s got a strong judgmental side eye too ). He is potty trained and keeps his kennel clean. He is a very affectionate boy with beautiful brown eyes (he’s got a strong judgmental side eye too ). He is potty trained and keeps his kennel clean. He can be moderately vocal if he sees something unusual outside (like a package being delivered). He loves playing with our resident dogs, chewing on bones, and napping on a dog bed or (preferably) snuggled in your lap. He is the perfect golden mix of smart and dopey, sweet and mischievous, and friendly and playful. He enjoys pup cups and rides well in the car. River is a well-tempered pup who any family would be lucky to call their own!
