Chloe

Profile

Chloe was surrendered to RAGOM as a retired breeding mom. She is wonderful with kids and other dogs but prefers a slow introduction to new dogs. She has not been tested with cats. A physical fence is optional. She is looking to spend her retirement years relaxing and spending time with a forever family. Chloe is a great companion and goes with the flow-she is happy to relax on the couch or tag along on daily activities!

Chloe has been with us for almost 3 months. We spent time getting to know her and letting her acclimate to her new environment on her terms so she can be successful in her “furever” home. As a retired breeding mom, she was at first very timid and shy. For the first few days, she would sit in the corner of our kitchen and didn’t want to come out. After that, she bravely started taking some steps forward and venturing to the rest of the house. Now, she is completely comfortable in our home.

She has always been great around kids and has been exposed to kids as young as 2 years old while in our care. She loves kids and kids love her!

She does well with other dogs. We have two very high energy golden retrievers and Chloe has settled in comfortably with them. She has also been around other dogs and has done well. She does best with a slow introduction and some “getting to know you” time with other dogs.

She was not potty trained when she came to us, so we are working on that, and she has made great progress with regular trips outside for bathroom breaks. She does need frequent bathroom breaks and diligence with potty training to prevent accidents.

Chloe loves to spend time with people and is a great companion. We have tried some hiking and longer walks, and she definitely prefers a shorter walk! I am working on her skills walking on a leash, as that is a new activity for Chloe. We are working on having her not pull so much.

Chloe is looking for a home where she can be loved and cherished by her humans, and we want to find that perfect match for her!
