Hamm
Profile
Note: Hamm is bonded with his mother Millie (26-139) and they must be adopted together.
Hamm and his mother Millie were surrendered to RAGOM due to a change in family circumstances. Hamm is a sweet, affectionate sheepadoodle/goldendoodle mix. Hamm can live with children age 10+, can live with other dogs and with cats. Because Hamm and Millie play hard, they must have a home with a physical fence. Because Hamm is a barker, a shared wall home is not suitable for Hamm and Millie. Hamm has good house manners. He has a lot of energy and puts his full weight into his affectionate wiggles when he is happy. Hamm and Millie will be a wonderful addition to the right home.

Hammie is one of the most affectionate dogs I've known. He's happiest when he can drape himself across your lap and talk you into petting him. For such a big boy, he's very agile when it comes to getting attention. He loves to rest his head on your chest and just gaze up at you. Sometimes, he will rest his head on your shoulders while you think you should be reading a book. Hamm is on a bit of a diet too and he's lost 3-ish pounds so far. He has a very healthy appetite and he and Millie are both on chicken-free dog food to keep their allergies under control. They are doing well!
Next week they're headed to the groomer so look for some new photos that show his gorgeous eyes better. Such long eyelashes! What a hunk!

Hamm is a sheepadoodle/goldendoodle mix who definitely lives up to his name! Also known as Hambone and Hamburger-boy, this big, lovable boy is full of wiggles, energy, and personality. Through no fault of their own, Hamm and his mom, Millie (26-139), are looking for a new home where they can stay together. They’re a bonded pair, and their ideal family will have plenty of love—and plenty of room—for both of them.
Hamm is a smart, happy boy who has quickly learned the routine at his foster home. He has excellent house manners and is eager to please. He loves to chase a ball (and, happily, bring it back!), supervise while you work in the yard, and stretch his legs with a good run around the backyard. One of his favorite things is convincing Mom to join him for a game of chase.
And when Hamm is happy—which is often—he wiggles! At 94 pounds, this enthusiastic boy has a lot of him to wiggle, and his exuberance could easily knock over a small child. He also loves rubbing up against his people, and he puts some serious “umph” into those affectionate greetings. His new family should enjoy the exuberance of a very large, very happy dog.
Hamm is also a vocal boy. He may bark when he’s especially excited or when he needs something. His foster family has discovered that giving him one of his special toys to carry when he gets excited has been a game changer. Having something to hold helps him channel all those happy feelings.
Hamm knows several cues, including sit, hug, and sit pretty. And for all his youthful energy, he has a very sweet, affectionate side. Stretch out on the couch and chances are good that Hamm will hop up and find a spot right beside you. He loves being petted and especially enjoys simply having a hand resting on him. That physical connection with his people means a lot to him.
Hamm is looking for an active family who will give him exercise, mental stimulation, affection, and plenty of opportunities to be his big, goofy self. And, of course, his forever family will need to have room for his mom, Millie, too.
If you're looking for a pair of dogs who will bring plenty of love, laughter, and personality into your life, Hamm and Millie are ready to meet you!
