Bo came into RAGOM as an owner surrender. At five years of age, he is a healthy dog. Bo can be nervous around young kids so any children in the home should be 13 or older. He may go to a home with or without other dogs. He does not require a physical fence. Bo does well with cats. He is an active dog who loves to fetch and will make a very loving companion.

Bo is a healthy, 5-year-old dark red male Golden Retriever who weighs 84 lbs, though he could
stand to lose a few pounds to reach his ideal weight. Bo is current on vaccinations, monthly
preventatives, neutered, microchipped, house trained and crate trained. Bo knows his name
along with a few commands such as come, sit, stay, wait, down, shake, kennel, and load up. He also knows how to walk on a leash.
Bo came into his foster owner's house and blended right in with the two resident Golden Retrievers. He has respected any boundaries that the resident Goldens have set without a fuss. Bo came from a home where he was the only dog, so a home with or without dogs should work for him. He had a vet appointment this week and he did wonderfully in the waiting room with all the commotion and was a gentleman while being examined and receiving his vaccinations. Bo is okay with his foster dad looking in his mouth, playing with his feet or looking in his ears. Bo had a grooming appointment and he did great. He jumped right on the grooming table and had no problem being brushed, trimmed (including his ears), and having his nails clipped. The groomer had cats in the shop and Bo had no problem with them.
Bo is an active fella that loves to fetch and run around the yard. Even with his walks, he really enjoys the freedom of running around without the leash. When he comes in the house, he settles down quickly and is a pleasure to be around. Bo can get reactive when he sees a dog outside the yard, but he responds well when called back. Along with being crate trained and house trained, he has not destroyed anything in the house. He sleeps by the bed at night with full access to the house, and doesn’t explore or cause any
trouble during the night. When I work with Bo and give him a command, he looks at me with his
beautiful eyes waiting for his next instruction. Bo is very obedient when given a command, and at the same time, he is very affectionate and loving.
If you want a dog that will lay around the house and be a couch potato, Bo is not for you. If you
want a dog that will be your best buddy, go on adventures, and crash with you while planning the next adventure, Bo may just be the guy for you.
