I have had Buddy for 1 month & really have gotten to know him. 

Buddy is a golden retriever/lab mix and he is about 7 years old according to the vet, but he was a stray so his exact age is unknown. He is an absolute sweetheart! He loves attention and is a bit of a Velcro dog. He is housebroken and crate trained, although I have recently let him have run of the house while I'm at work and have had no problems.

He can be left alone for a full 8 hrs. while I am at work.No resource guarding issues or storm anxieties. He gets excited when I get home but calms down very quickly.

Buddy plays well with other dogs, completely ignores my cats and does well with young children, although the youngest I've seen him around is 6 years old.

Buddy does have some issues with his hips. X-rays showed some arthritis and he does have some muscle weakness associated with this. He has some difficulty getting into the car, needs a little assistance.

He is fully vetted & UTD on all shots. & Neutered. Weighs 60 lbs. His x-rays are being viewed by Dr R. to determine if surgery is needed or if pain medication is all that will be needed. He plays just fine. Walks well on a gentle leader.And is a total love bug! Fence yard preferred, but believe he would be fine with an invisible fence.
